For as little as $45, Raw Canvas provides a blank canvas, smock, paint, and everything else you need to liberate your inner artist. Staff are extremely friendly and encouraging so don’t be afraid to ask questions as you embark on your creative journey. Raw Canvas also has a resident artist that gives painting lessons every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Raw Canvas is definitely forward thinking when it comes to sustainable, organic, and locally-produced eats and treats. Their delicious wines all come from sustainable wineries with some being fully organic. The vast majority of the menu contains raw, vegan, and organic options with some of our favourite goodies coming from Nuba (yum!), Gorilla Foods, and Aphrodite’s. In a word, the décor is funky. Think underground Gastown meets yuppie Yaletown. Large wooden tables, mismatched chairs, fluffy cushions, and an art studio with exposed brick walls and eye-dazzling wall paper make for a great creative escape!
